GROUNDS CYCLE CENTRES - HICKS LODGE
Hicks Lodge is a beautiful area transformed since the early 2000’s under the National Forest Landscape Transformations programmes. Gradually restored to woodlands, grasslands and lakes, it hosts a m=number of exciting trails which cater to all ranges of age and ability.
Shell Brook Trail (5.5miles/8.9km) – This starts and finishes on the Family Forest Trail close to the car park, café, toilets and bike shop. This is a Blue Grade Trail suitable for intermediate cyclists or mountain bikers with basic off-road riding skills.
Wood Farm Trail (2.75miles/ 4.4km) – A Green Grade trail which winds through the forest. It is suitable for families and all abilities.
